What's your elevator pitch?

I empower others to achieve fulfilling careers!

What's your story? Share how you got to where you are and WHY it is you do what you do.

I'm a recent corporate "dropout" who now empowers others' career journeys! After 15+ years at a large retailer leading talent development and key business initiatives, I launched my very own career coaching and talent development consulting business (while on maternity leave, but that's another story). I've coached 100+ young professionals who are now leaders across a variety of industries, and am excited to offer my expertise to anyone looking to make a transition into a career they love.

What does BEING a FoundHer mean to you?

This may sound silly, but it's true... I FOUND MYSELF when I decided to fully commit to launching my own business. Even in 2025, women have to juggle so many hats, and having a career/identity without purpose is just another stressor to add to the list. I realized I was going through the motions of being comfortable in my corporate role, but I had lost myself along the way... It's inspiring to be part of a community of strong, powerful, smart, confident WOMEN!!!

How do you support other female founders and women in business?

Do you ever get stopped in grocery stores by strangers asking for advice? I do! After taking many leadership assessments over the years, I can confirm that my empathy trait is off the charts. I am a connector, and am always looking to find ways to help others. I am invigorated by building networks & connections, and helping others. I'm new in my FoundHer journey, but have expanded network connections with some FoundHer members already with my "how can I help" and "building connections" mentality.

Who is a female entrepreneur you look up to and why?

Caroline Chambers: she pivoted her career from marketing into doing what she was passionate about—cooking for others—without the formal culinary title. She now has a cookbook, is the #1 Substack cooking account + subscribers... and started during Covid + now has 3 kids + 1 on the way. I resonate with her "don't ask for permission approach" and pursuing your dreams while also being a mom mentality.

At what point did you make your company a full time gig? How did you know the time was right?

I was on maternity leave with my second baby boy and knew I couldn't "go back" to my unfulfilling job. My last week of maternity leave I created my LLC, went back to corporate to quadruple check that I couldn't do this anymore (confirmed), and the rest is history!

What lesson or skill did you take with you from a prior job to help you succeed in your role today?

I had the most amazing manager who is now a great friend. She taught me to take chances on people, and champion people when they are not in the room. She took a chance on me a very long time ago—I was bold and applied to manage the early careers rotational program I completed just two years prior to applying, with no formal management experience. I was 24-ish, managing 25 interns/career starters who were close to my age, and jumped in right away on the "good and the ugly" on managing people.

What is something you do differently from the industry standard?

I have to be genuine to my brand/my authentic self. I have a terrible poker face, will never be the loudest one at the table (I listen before I speak), and always speak with positive intent. Someone once told me that I couldn't be a leader without being "loud", and I respectfully disagree.
